Power Lunch: Going Green

Join us for a presentation on green business practices and waste & recycling in the Eastern Sierra. We will discuss some hot button topics including: green rebates and funding sources, cleaning during COVID, disposable and reusable to-go options, multi-family energy upgrade program and unfunded or underfunded waste mandates coming from the State.

Kendra Knight, the Sustainability Coordinator for Mammoth Disposal, will discuss the frequent changes in recycling; what we can and cannot recycle today in the Eastern Sierra and where does that recycling go, anyways? With sustainability on the forefront of all of our minds how can we make a difference? What can I do as an individual to make an impact on my environment?

We will also highlight the latest businesses who participated in the "Eastern Sierra New Years Green Business Challenge", and have a short Q&A with the newest certified businesses in the Eastern Sierra Green Business Program.

Presenters include:
Pam Bold, High Sierra Energy Executive Director
Kendra Knight, Waste Connections Sustainability Coordinator
Lia Webb, High Sierra Energy Green Business Coordinator

For participants based in Mammoth, pre-registrants will receive a code for free lunch from Elixir, provided care of Volunteer Eastern Sierra.
