Job Description

The Eastern Sierra Transit Authority is seeking responsible and energetic drivers for the Winter Season. ESTA operates a number of fixed routes in Mammoth Lakes including the Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Lines providing access to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, as well as the Purple Line and the Town Trolley providing service throughout town. These routes utilize a number of different vehicle types ranging from 25′ 15-passenger mini-buses to 40′ 37-passenger transit coaches.

ESTA provides training for all vehicle types resulting in a Commercial License, Passenger Endorsement and Airbrake Certification. Pre-employment and random drug screening is required as well as the ability to obtain and maintain a DMV Medical Examination Certificate.

For applicants interested in working fulltime, shifts providing 35-40 hours per week can be expected from mid-December through Easter. Shifts for applicants who are only able to work part-time are available as well. Starting pay following completion of training is $15.25 per hour plus $0.50 Mammoth Premium pay.
