Robert & Sue Joki invite you to join us this coming summer - on Saturday July 1st, 2023 at "High Noon" - for the Centennial Celebration and a Grand Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Mammoth Lakes newest History Museum - which will be known as The Mammoth City Mining Museum. The creation of the museum is a gift from Robert & Sue Joki to the visitors and residents of the Town of Mammoth Lakes, and will work in cooperation with the Southern Mono Historical Society. The focus of the new museum will be to retell the story of the long lost original 1870's Gold Rush town known as "Mammoth City". Nothing is left of Mammoth City itself, but the stories of the early settlers here in the Lakes Basin remains to be told. The recently remodeled 1923 museum building is adjacent to the main gallery building, The Gallery at Twin Lakes, 2749 Lake Mary Rd.
