The Mammoth Hospital Auxiliary is a fellowship of volunteers dedicated to supporting each other, Mammoth Hospital, its patients, and the community. The Auxiliary was established in 1968 by visionaries who foresaw the need for a local hospital. The Auxiliary owns and operates the Cast Off, managed entirely by volunteers. All proceeds from the store are donated to the hospital and the community. Since its inception, the Auxiliary has donated over $4 million to support the hospital by purchasing new equipment, employee training, and facility improvements to meet community demand; $566,000 in college scholarships to local residents pursuing a degree in a medically related field; $114,050 in high school achievement awards to local students; and $50,000 to local and international disaster relief efforts.
